In 2007, Laura stepped away from a successful career in Marketing and Sales to pursue her entrepreneurial spirit in the recruitment industry. With a keen eye for talent and an extensive professional network—honed through working with best in class colleagues at Colgate-Palmolive, Coca-Cola Bottling, and Molson Coors—she saw a unique opportunity to make an impact in executive search.
Laura began her recruitment career as the Founding Partner of a boutique search firm in Toronto, specializing in CPG/FMCG Marketing and Sales recruitment. She worked with an impressive roster of clients across food, beverage, health and beauty (HABA), sports, and apparel, placing top talent for some of the world’s most recognized brands.
After 12 successful years, Laura launched her own independent agency, seeking greater flexibility for her clients, and the ability to serve both the corporate and the not-for-profit sectors. In 2023, she identified an opportunity to redefine the traditional search model, leading to the creation of EDGEPATH Talent Solutions.
Today, Laura divides her work equally between the private and public sectors. With a personal interest in helping nonprofit organizations in mental healthcare, housing, and addiction services, she seamlessly blends her strong business acumen with a purpose-driven mindset.

Karen Hsiung (pronounced “Shung”) is an Executive Search professional with a proven track record of leading high-impact recruitment and executive search engagements across the private, public, and nonprofit sectors in Canada and the United States.
Prior to joining EDGEPATH, Karen was a Vice President, Senior Client Partner at an international executive search firm and a Partner, Executive Search at a Toronto-based independent firm. In these roles she honed her ability to identify and place top-tier leaders who drive strategic growth and organizational excellence.
Before her career in executive search, Karen spent over 25 years in the Consumer Goods sector, holding marketing and leadership roles at Clorox, Pfizer, Bellisio Foods, and Ocean Spray. Her corporate background provides her with a unique perspective on leadership dynamics, financial acuity, business acumen, and organizational growth.
Committed to giving back, Karen has also been actively involved in the nonprofit sector, serving on the Board of Directors for Daily Bread Food Bank in Toronto from 2016 to 2024.
